I’m Mel, as I write this I have 9+ years worth of experience in the beauty industry.

 Majority of those years spent working on makeup counters; I was a weekend girl working for YSL Beauty, as I studied for my beauty therapy level 2 and level 3 qualifications. On the very day I completed college, I was promoted to a full time makeup artist for YSL. After just under 3 years, I took a leap of faith- leaving YSL- accepting my first managerial role for Benefit cosmetics (the worlds leading brow company and worlds largest employer of brow waxer’s ... I know my way around a brow...) I worked for Benefit for just under 3 years, here I had two huge promotions. The job I last left was ‘business manger’ of the largest account in the West Midlands for Benefit cosmetics. I’d worked very hard at my job and was so proud of how far I’d reached in the company. 

But this sis needed a change! I decided to trust in myself and listen to what people had been telling me to do for years... 

In the first lockdown of March 2020, ‘Beau Beauty by Mel’ was born. A chance to do what I really loved - make everyone feel beautiful and confident in an empowering and welcoming environment. Months & months of work went into creating Beau, from decorating, designing logos, choosing the right courses for me etc.

I opened my doors to my little pink paradise on 24th August 2020, the rest is history!
